Old fuse boxes with rewirable fuses or no RCD protection are one of the most common problems we find. A modern consumer unit protects each circuit individually and disconnects quickly if there's a fault.
When an upgrade is recommended
- Rewirable fuses
- No RCD protection, or a single RCD covering every circuit
- A board that trips regularly or feels warm
- Adding an EV charger, solar or new circuits
What's included
- 18th Edition RCBO consumer unit with surge protection
- Testing of every circuit
- Electrical installation certificate, emailed after the job

Common questions
How much does an EICR cost in Hailsham?
It depends on the size of the property and the number of circuits. We give you a fixed price before booking. Landlords need a new EICR at least every five years.
Do I need to upgrade my consumer unit?
An upgrade is usually recommended if your board has rewirable fuses, has no RCD protection or trips regularly. We can check during a free survey.
Are you NAPIT registered?
Yes. NAPIT registration means we can self-certify notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations, and you get a certificate for every job.
Do you cover emergencies?
Yes. We're based in Hailsham and cover around 30 miles, and most emergency call-outs are attended the same day. Call 07415 132513.
